‘When the Moon was Full’ available on home market

‘When the Moon was Full’ has entered domestic home entertainment market.

Fajr-applauded movie ‘When the Moon was Full’ has entered domestic home entertainment market.

Directed by Narges Abyar, ‘When the Moon was Full’, which was ranked among high grossers of summer playlist of Iran cinemas, is now available on home market.

The flick has already attended three international film festivals, including the 24th Busan Int’l Film Festival in South Korea, the 2nd Int’l Political Film Festival of Carcassonne in France, the 23rd Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia where it succeeded to grab the Audience Award of the event.  

The big winner of the 37th Fajr Film Festival ‘Night of the Full Moon’ recounts a true love story of Abdul-Hamid Rigi, a member of the Jundallah terrorist group.

Hamid Rigi marries Faezeh Mansouri, a woman from Tehran. Faezeh is forced to leave her homeland along with her brother, Shahab, to live in Pakistan where they find themselves involved in the Jundallah rebel activities.

The Rigi brothers were arrested by Iranian security forces and were executed in 2010.

The movie was nominated in 13 categories at the 37th Fajr Film Festival and garnered six main Awards of the event, including Best Director, Best Film, Best Leading Actor (Shakiba), Best Leading Actress (Shakerdoust), Best Supporting Actress (Sadr-Orafaee), and Best Makeup (Iman Omidvari).

Elnaz Shakerdoust, Houtan Shakiba, Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaee and Shabnam Moqaddami are among the cast of the film.
